Los Angeles Review of Books

I was involved with the Los Angeles Review of Books as early as the fall of 2010, before its launch, as an Editorial Assistant.

In November 2012, I came on as a Copy Editor, and the next month I was put in charge as Copy Desk Chief. I remained in that role until April 2014.

As Copy Desk Chief, in addition to daily copyediting, fact checking, and proofreading of digital and print properties, I:

  • Revised and expanded the house style guide
  • Created a tracking system that resolved previous inefficiencies
  • Built a robust and respected team of remote copy editors
